Foram dois anos de busca intensa e incessante de respostas, em meio a arrebatamentos, batalhas e priva\u00e7\u00f5es entre o final de 2016 at\u00e9 o in\u00edcio de 2018. SANKOFA \u201cnunca \u00e9 tarde para voltar e apanhar aquilo que ficou atr\u00e1s\u201d sintetiza todo o significado desse per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n<p>MAS EU VOLTEI \u00e9 um mergulho no passado ressignificando hist\u00f3rias, um retorno que realinha o presente e recria um agora que refletir\u00e1 no futuro.<\/p>\n<p>Agrade\u00e7o imensamente a todos encontros que tive que me transformaram e me proporcionaram chegar at\u00e9 aqui. Agrade\u00e7o cada m\u00e3o estendida ao meu favor e em favor da minha arte. Ao fazer e constru\u00e7\u00e3o coletiva que permearam todo esse processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, feito por muitas m\u00e3os, por muitas parcerias de vida e de of\u00edcio. A todos que colaboraram direta ou indiretamente na conclus\u00e3o deste trabalho o meu forte<br \/>\nabra\u00e7o em agradecimento a tanto amor e amizade envolvidos.<\/p>\n<p>Dedico esse trabalho em louvor a minha grande M\u00c3E ANCESTRAL . Um reconciliar- me, morando de volta no meu corpo e fazendo votos de fidelidade e comprometimento eterno com o auto cuidado. Trazendo no Bass a influ\u00eancia da Soul Music g\u00eanero musical dos Estados Unidos que nasceu do rhythm and blues e do gospel durante o final da d\u00e9cada de 1950 e in\u00edcio da d\u00e9cada de 1960 entre os negros. Esse uso apareceu justamente numa \u00e9poca de v\u00e1rios movimentos sociais, tanto com a revolu\u00e7\u00e3o dos jovens, como os movimentos antiguerra e antirracistas. Por consequ\u00eancia, a m\u00fasica soul nada mais era que uma refer\u00eancia \u00e0 m\u00fasica negra, independentemente de g\u00eanero.
